Mr. Perle is one of the country's leading authorities in intellectual property,
copyright, publishing, computer, entertainment and communications law. Mr. Perle
was formerly Corporate Vice President - Law of Time Inc. where he was
responsible for the legal affairs of that communications company, including the
magazines Time, Life, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, Money and People, Time-Life
Books, Home Box Office and the entity now known as Time Warner Cable. Mr. Perle
currently handles a wide range of publishing, entertainment, sports and other
copyright-related matters. His many years of experience help him counsel clients
on the practical aspects of their businesses, highlighting the intellectual
property law aspects of their activities. He is engaged in important copyright
litigation, and serves as an expert witness in matters relating to copyright or
to the customs and practices of the publishing industry. Mr. Perle was
appointed by the President to the National Commission on New Technological Works
("CONTU"), that drafted the legislation enacted by Congress for the protection
of computer programming and software.

Publications and Lecture Experience
Mr. Perle is co-author of the two-volume work, Perle & Williams on
Publishing Law, published by Aspen Law and Business, which is currently in its
Third Edition, with annual updates. He is the author of many articles and is a
frequent lecturer on copyright and publishing matters, contributing to and
chairing many
programs of the Practicing Law Institute, Law and Business, the American Bar
Association and the New York State Bar Association. He has been a member of the
advisory board of the Bureau of National Affairs Patent, Trademark and Copyright
Journal. Mr. Perle frequently lectured at the Stanford Alumni Publishing Course
and the New York University School of Continuing Education.
