Mr. Rauchfuss practices primarily in the fields of patent and trademark law. He
has handled patent matters in the following fields: agricultural/industrial
chemicals, biotechnology, electronic chemicals for microelectronics, airbag
technology, polymer stabilization technology, cosmetics, toiletries and personal
care products, immunology, human & veterinary pharmaceuticals, and apparatus &
processes for plastics & rubber processing. Prior to entering private practice,
Mr. Rauchfuss served as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office. Subsequently, he was Patent Counsel with Mobay Chemical Company and then
Senior Patent Attorney at Richardson-Vicks, Inc., with responsibility for
corporate intellectual prosecution in over 30 countries, as well as litigation
management, licensing, trade secret protection, contract negotiation & drafting,
and development of corporate patent policy and philosophy.
